What’s Happening With Chrisley Knows Best After Todd & Julie’s Fraud Conviction

[ad_1]

The USA Network must now figure out what to do with their long-running reality TV series Chrisley Knows Best following the shocking conviction of the show’s two biggest stars on charges of bank fraud and tax evasion.

As we’ve been reporting, Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, were convicted on Tuesday of federal charges relating to bank fraud and tax evasion following a three-week-long trial in Atlanta. The disgraced couple is potentially facing decades in prison. They’ll know that fate soon enough, though, when the sentencing phase following their guilty verdict takes place in early October.

The fallout from the shocking federal case is coming down too, even as the Chrisleys have already indicated that they plan to appeal. For one, those adjacent to the embattled Chrisley couple are starting to speak out mournfully about the conviction. And along with that, USA Network is scrambling to figure out WTF they should do with the second half of the ninth season of Chrisley Knows Best, which they had been planning to air beginning on June 23!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, USA “still plans to air” the second half of the show’s ninth season later this month even despite the federal court conviction this week. While reps for USA Network declined to comment to the outlet on Wednesday, the channel’s parent company, NBCUniversal, had previously announced the renewal of Chrisley Knows Best and another Chrisley spinoff series early last month — just a week before the federal trial began. So it’s been business-as-usual over there!

From USA Network’s perspective, it makes some sense. For one, they’ve already got the episodes in the can; a source told THR that all of this summer’s forthcoming Chrisley Knows Best episodes were filmed before the trial even began. And it also doesn’t hurt that the show is USA Network’s “most-watched original series,” according to the news outlet. Ratings drive decisions in situations like these — for better or worse.

Besides, Todd and Julie were first indicted on the federal charges back in August of 2019, and USA has aired at least 60 new episode of Chrisley Knows Best AND another 15 eps of the spinoff series Growing Up Chrisley in the nearly three years since that initial courtroom move. The news outlet reports that the family has not filmed the tenth season of their flagship show yet, however.

Still, if this is the way it’s been going on that network, well, why stop now? Of course, if federal prison is truly on the table when sentencing occurs in October, the reality show’s trajectory is definitely going to change… Just saying!

Bitcoin Price is RISKY! Sell Bitcoin if prices fall below this area ASAP.

[ad_1]

The crypto market has been crashing since November 2021. Most cryptocurrencies lost on average more than 50% in valuation. Bitcoin’s dominance on the crypto market is still apparent, with a current dominance of over 46%. Bitcoin prices fell recently below the psychological price of $30,000. Many investors are waiting for another bull run like the ones that occurred back in 2020 and 2021. However, Bitcoin is still in consolidation mode. If prices fall below a certain price area, Bitcoin can still crash lower. In this article, we’re going to analyze Bitcoin prices and assess when to sell Bitcoin!

CryptoTicker is thrilled to be the first German crypto news platform to release an NFT collection as a first stepping stone into its own Metaverse. To learn more about the NFTs and how to purchase them, click here.

Why did the Bitcoin price fall?

Join the Chat Discord

There were several influencing factors why the Bitcoin price fell so sharply:

  • Due to the strong inflation, the American Federal Reserve Board had been planning to raise the key interest rate for several months. Ultimately, the key interest rate rose by 0.5%. That was the strongest increase in over 20 years. Both the announcements and the ultimately strong increase resulted in the Bitcoin price falling.
  • The weak economy due to the pandemic and the war in Ukraine caused share prices to fall. Unfortunately, bitcoin has become more and more dependent on tech stocks over time. This development harmed bitcoin.
  • Many speculative investors, especially in the foreign exchange market, sold their positions when there was a slight drop so that the crashes were amplified. This led to a massive negative spiral for Bitcoin and the bear market.

Is the current Bitcoin price good for Buying?

Bitcoin prices have fallen from a peak of $69,600 to a current level of $29,350. The whole cryptocurrency market fell as a result of the 57 percent decline in pricing. As a reaction to the plummeting prices, a snowball effect began to occur, in which additional crypto projects were affected and, as a result, plunged even more.

The price range of $30,000 for Bitcoin is critical. In reality, several large corporations bought Bitcoins at that price. In addition, as seen in Figure 2, Bitcoin values previously consolidated around those same regions before beginning an advance.

When to Sell Bitcoin?

If you talk with a crypto or Bitcoin fanatic, he will most probably tell you never. However, selling something to buy it at a cheaper price is what good investment is about. When traders short sell in falling markets, this is exactly what they do. Since Bitcoin and the crypto market are considered in a bear market, we can safely set specific sell and buy areas.

Currently, for Bitcoin, that sell area is around $28,000. Bitcoin did reach a low price of $25,500 back on the 12th of May 2022, but that was for a very brief moment due to panic selling across the crypto market. That’s why this move is considered a classic “Fakeout”. However, if prices fall below $28,000 today again, it is safe to assume that Bitcoin will continue to crash, specifically to $22,200.

British, Moroccan citizens sentenced to death in Kremlin-backed show trial – POLITICO

[ad_1]

KYIV — Kremlin-controlled authorities have sentenced to death two British citizens and a Moroccan national who all served in Ukraine’s military after a three-day show trial in which no evidence in their favor was presented.

British citizens Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner, and Moroccan national Saadoun Brahim, were convicted of being foreign mercenaries and partaking in “terrorist” activities when captured by Russian forces — the Brits were captured in the southeastern city of Mariupol in April while Brahim was captured in March in Volnovakha, south of Donetsk.

A court sentenced them in the self-proclaimed “People’s Republic” of Donetsk, a territory of eastern Ukraine that Russia controls and is unrecognized by the international community. They have one month to appeal and possibly receive a reduced sentence, the court said. Otherwise, they face death by firing squad.

U.K. Foreign Secretary Liz Truss wrote on Twitter: “I utterly condemn the sentencing of Aiden Aslin and Shaun Pinner held by Russian proxies in eastern Ukraine. They are prisoners of war. This is a sham judgment with absolutely no legitimacy. My thoughts are with the families. We continue to do everything we can to support them.”

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson previously urged the Russian government to treat his countrymen “humanely and compassionately.”

The Moroccan foreign ministry has not commented on Brahim’s case.

Aslin, 28, Pinner, 48, and Brahim, 21, were active-duty troops serving regular contracts with the Ukrainian military; Aslin had recently re-upped his contract for a fourth year and had deep ties to the country. As regular soldiers, the men should be protected by the Geneva Conventions on prisoners of war.

Russia and its proxy forces in Donetsk are believed to be using the cases of Aslin and Pinner to secure the release of Russian soldiers held prisoner by Ukraine and convicted in Kyiv. Russian proxy authorities in Donetsk had pushed for the U.K. and Ukraine in the weeks ahead of the trial to negotiate a prisoner swap with Aslin and Pinner for Viktor Medvedchuk, a pro-Kremlin Ukrainian politician who is in Kyiv’s custody and charged with treason.

Aslin and Pinner were taken captive after months of unrelenting fighting in Maripol, where Ukrainian troops were surrounded by Russian forces that destroyed the strategic port city that was once home to nearly 500,000 people.

In the lead-up to the show trial, Russian state media and pro-Kremlin propagandists published interrogation videos of the men, who were forced to confess under duress to their alleged crimes.

The trial, which began Tuesday, was held behind closed doors. The men were not allowed to present any evidence to counter the accusations or defend themselves.

A video of the verdict and sentencing released Thursday by Russia’s Defense Ministry TV channel showed the men wearing dingy clothing in a courtroom cage. Off-camera, a person translated the court’s decision. Showing no emotion, the men took turns standing to acknowledge that they understood what had transpired.

The Donetsk court appeared to mimic the legitimate trials of Russian servicemen in Kyiv, where three men have been convicted for crimes related to Vladimir Putin’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine.

In May, Vadim Shishimarin, 21, was sentenced to life in prison for killing a 62-year-old civilian in the northeastern region of Sumy; Alexander Bobikin and Alexander Ivanov were each sentenced to more than 11 years for shelling civilian areas of the northeastern Kharkiv region from Russia, in violation of the laws and customs of war.

Kourtney Kardashian Got ‘So Annoyed’ After ‘Fairy Tale’ Engagement Storyline On The Kardashians Was Overshadowed By Scott Disick Drama!

[ad_1]

Kourtney Kardashian is fed up with how her storyline is being portrayed on The Kardashians — just like she had been fed up with the way things went down previously on Keeping Up with the Kardashians!!

Along with all of her sisters, the Poosh founder is an executive producer of the family’s Hulu series, which should theoretically mean she has some control over the content (and edits) of the new streaming episodes. But maybe the 43-year-old mom of three doesn’t have as much say as we thought??

Related: Here’s Why — And When — Scott Disick FINALLY Stopped Trying To Win Kourtney Back

In the newest Hulu ep released on Thursday, Kourt has a tense sit-down with longtime family friend Stephanie Shepherd. In their chat, the two discuss Kourt’s lovely love story with then-fiancé (and now-husbandTravis Barker. But Kourtney is clearly mad at how it’s being portrayed — or not being portrayed — on the show!!

The oldest KarJenner sister explained her concerns to Shepherd, revealing the series’ producers seem to be more concerned with Scott Disick‘s reaction to Kourt’s relationship than actually promoting the romance itself:

“We film and have the best time ever and we’ve been watching the edits and we’re just so annoyed because they’re swirling us in with this drama. Especially when I saw my engagement episode. Editors or whoever are taking it as, ‘Let’s take Kourtney, she’s the chosen one to be the drama.’”

Yikes!

In a confessional clip, Kourt revealed the sisters’ EP titles allow them to see early screeners of future episodes. With that, they are all able to give producers notes and suggestions to “make sure that our stories are being told.”

So when the first-look screeners came back focusing heavily on Lord Disick’s dramatic reactions to Kravis’ love story, Kourtney was not at all happy about it!

Scott Disick Speaks About Being Left Out Of Ex Kourtney Kardashian's Life 'For The First Time In My Life'
Scott’s complicated take on Kravis’ connection is must-see TV. / (c) Scott Disick/Kourtney Kardashian/Instagram

In particular, Kourtney referenced an episode that aired earlier this season and covered the time period just after Travis proposed to his now-wife on that SoCal beach.

In the clip, sis Kendall Jenner asked Kourtney whether she had any sympathy for her ex-partner and baby daddy, who had already been feeling left out of the fam even before the engagement. The scene devolved as Kourtney tried to explain that she wanted to focus on her future and not her past.

But according to the interior design aficionado’s new convo with Shepherd, the actual interaction with Kendall was TOTALLY different than the edited version eventually seen by viewers!

Kourtney explained:

“That night I wasn’t like, ‘God, everyone’s such f**king assholes for bringing up this,’ because it wasn’t a part of the night, it was like two seconds of the night. I didn’t even remember it until I saw the cut of the episode. It wasn’t like 50% of the night like it’s made to be on an episode.”

Wow!!

Well, reality TV editors are gonna do what reality TV editors do, we suppose. And yet it’s clear Kourtney is a little miffed by the show’s insistence on focusing on the Disick drama. Frustrated by how she’s being portrayed on screen, the star said:

“I wish they would take that out and put in the next episode, give us our respect, so it’s like, let us have our moment. I’m like, why is the fairy tale not being told? The true fairy tale that it is. I don’t want to be insensitive.”

We get it! The fairy tale is definitely a feel-good story! But drama draws in viewers! That’s not a new concept?? Just saying!

(BTW, producers did not put Scott’s reaction in “the next episode,” like Kourtney had hoped. It was right there with all the rest when the engagement went down. Womp, womp!)

Related: Kourtney Invited Scott To Kravis’ Italian Wedding ‘Knowing’ He ‘Wouldn’t Come’!

After Shepherd suggested producers probably shouldn’t “harp” on Scott’s storyline “out of respect” for the Blink-182 drummer, the mom of three dryly quipped about her past relationship:

“It is all good, we’ve been broken up for seven years. I’m allowed to create new memories and new ways of doing things.”

That’s true! In a confessional clip following that caustic line, the new Mrs. Barker put it all out there, concluding:

“I am in one of the best places I’ve ever been in my life and it’s time for our show to catch up. It’s enabling this old narrative and buying into something that doesn’t exist. It should be an empowering episode about me getting out of toxic relationships and really having this fairy tale love story that is my reality.”

There’s no question Kourtney has a point in wanting to be allowed to move on in her life — and her reality TV storyline — YEARS after splitting from Scott. But also, Scott’s storyline is popular. Viewers very clearly want to see it. Heck, we cover it pretty much everyday! LOLz!!

So focusing on her ex in the new show just makes sense! What do U think, Perezcious readers??

Love Island Fans Disturbed By Romance With VERY Young Contestant: ‘She’s A Teenager!’

[ad_1]

A new couple on the current season of Love Island UK isn’t sitting right with some fans!

In case you didn’t know, the popular reality series features several single people in the UK who take off to Mallorca, Spain for eight weeks in hopes of finding love on with their fellow castmates – oh, and the chance of bringing home a whopping £50,000 prize. Damn! Of course, there are a ton of shocking twists and surprises that happen throughout the season to test (and mess up) the relationships between the cast, including bringing in new lads and ladies to shake things up.

Related: Former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin Defends Proposing To Thomas Jacobs!

So unsurprisingly, the episode on Tuesday night of Love Island UK saw everyone (especially viewers) completely rattled by the arrival of a new contestant: Davide Sanclimenti. Why is that? When he joined the cast in the villa, he was given the ability to couple up with any girl in the cast. And in the first re-coupling of the season, Davide ended up choosing Gemma Owen, splitting up her recent pairing with 22-year-old master’s student Liam Llewellyn from South Wales. Davide explained his decision during the re-coupling:

“It’s not just attraction. Yes, she’s a stunning girl. We really had a good time and I would like to know her more.”

But there is one issue many fans have with this match – David is 27 years old while Gemma is only 19 years old! Many viewers flooded Twitter in outrage over the fact that a teenager was not only allowed on the show in the first place but that she was coupled up with someone who is 8 years older than her and in a completely different stage in her life than him. Even more so, fans were grossed out by the fact that Davide also expressed at one point in the episode that he usually dates younger women. Social media users expressed:

“ewwww i’m sorry but why does davide as a 27 year old want to be coupled up with a 19 year old.”

“Keep gemma away from davide. she’s a teenager and he is nearly 30 i am not here for it.”

“19 and 27 is a mad age gap … Gemma’s age means I can’t see her with any of them. Just feels wrong.”

“Please please please have a minimum age requirement of 21. I don’t want to see a 19-year-old kissing someone who’s pushing 30.”

What will Gemma and Davide even speak about? What do a 27 year old and 19 year old even have in common? Pls

“i find it so alarming that gemma and davide are together with an 8 year difference when she’s only just turned 19. It’s just a bit gross & no one’s mature at 19. I do think the minimum age for entering this show should be higher, there will be a difference in maturity”

“Some people have just missed the point with Gemma & Davide – it’s not just an ;age gap’. It’s the fact they’re in 2 different life stages. She’s a TEEN and he’s nearing THIRTY . I’d say the same thing if roles were reversed”

“As someone who was 19 and was with a 27 year old man, I can tell you that there is a problem with the age difference. You’re at different stages and on different pages at that point. Does Davide know she’s just a teenager?”

Someone also specifically pointed out how “utterly bizarre” it was to cast Gemma, especially considering how several former cast members have dealt with mental health issues after the show. Referring to contestants Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon, as well as host Caroline Flack, who passed away by suicide, the person tweeted:

“When taking into account the potential risks to the mental wellbeing of contestants on Love Island as demonstrated through past events, it strikes me as utterly bizarre and irresponsible that the producers would this year decide to throw a teenager into the mix.”

What do YOU think about the age gap between Gemma and Davide, Perezcious readers? Do you think Love Island should raise the age requirement? Sound OFF with your reactions in the comments (below).

1More Evo Earbuds Review | TechNuovo

[ad_1]

1More sent over their latest pair of buds, the Evos, the embargo has just dropped so I can talk to you about them now, although I have seen reviews go up last week for them, so I’m a tad late to the party now. Anyway, I’ve been using them as my daily driver for the last three weeks, and here are my thoughts.

The buds come nicely displayed and presented in a cardboard box and include the buds, different-sized rubber tips, and a USB C cable for charging. The pair of buds we got were white but there is also a black version too. The whole thing is a very tidy and sleek affair. Well constructed, stylish, small, and lightweight case. Subtle branding to the lid, a single indicator light to the front identifying the battery life of the case, and then the USB C port to the rear. Wireless charging is available via a Qi-certified dock.

Evo_1

The buds themselves are traditional in shape and size, with a rubber tip at the end. An elegant design, white with a hint of metallic silver/rose gold. Touch-sensitive button to either bud offering various controls. The controls are the same on both buds as default and allow you to play/pause your content with a double-tap, or if you’re getting a call, double-tap again to accept or end. A long hold on either bud will scroll through the different listening modes, ANC off, ANC On, or transparent mode. There are no voice prompts when scrolling through which is quite annoying, just a short beep. That’s it on controls, no changing tracks, no volume control unless you mod the controls but ill touch on that in a bit. When you remove either of the buds, they automatically pause the music until you put it back in. You can just use one earbud, no need to use both if you don’t want to. Take one out, use it, and leave the other one in the case.

As for features we’ve got wireless hi-res audio thanks to these including the LDAC Bluetooth codec, which can handle 24-bit audio, as long as you have a compatible device. We’ve also got ANC and transparency mode, 6 microphones, up to  28hours of battery life and an app to provide additional settings.

Audio performance was top tier, one of the best I’ve tried this year and I really enjoyed using them. A well-balanced sound profile with ample bass that worked well with any genre of music I listened to. Out of the box, ANC on is by far the best option for audio quality and there is a noticeable drop in bass and volume when switching to either transparency mode or turning the ANC off. The ANC performance itself is very very good. Small sounds like typing away on my keyboard were gone, while cars driving past or even the crashing of the train against track is heavily reduced, offering a very peaceful environment, allowing you to zone out and get away from it all. Out of the box, the default ANC setting is set to strong but this can be tweaked within the 1More app, dropping it down to mild, or choosing WNR or adaptive. You can swap between the four options with just a click and it’ll update in real-time while you’re listening to music, so you can see the difference and pick the best option for you.

Evo_3

A bit more on the app, it shows battery life per bud and the case, it allows you to control your audio modes, rather than using the touch controls. Remember I said there was no track or volume control, well there is or there can be if you want to. Via the app, go into the custom settings, and then you can change what the touch commands do. So double-tap is play pause, but you can change this to the next track, previous track or volume up or down. Triple tap activates the voice control but if you’re like me an rarely use that, you can set the triple tap to be next track or volume control. I generally adjust the volume on my phone so I kept the double-tap as play/pause and then changed the triple tap to next or previous track. Also within the app, you can use 1More’s SoundID, which is a pretty neat feature. It’s a sound test, so you select one of the default tracks provided, I went for Rock, you listen to that sample of music over and over, while the app provides two different sound profiles, A or B. You listen to both and either pick which one you prefer or say you don’t notice a difference. After the test, a sound profile is created and transferred to the buds. You can re-take the test if you want to at any point or just turn it off. Lastly, with the app, you can push firmware updates out to the buds.

As for comfort, working at a desk, and walking the dog, on your daily commute, they are very comfortable and secure enough. However, I used them while cycling which was a bit touch and go, and they didn’t offer me enough security for me to swap over to what I currently use. All our ears differ so you may find a more secure fit for you.

Touch controls work just fine, the touch-sensitive part of the bud is large enough and easy to find. The delay between touching and the command being undertaken is minimal, nothing worth

Microphone quality is a popular topic nowadays and I can confirm the 6 built-in microphones are pretty good. I made a number of calls with these and I had no complaints.

Battery life seems pretty good and I managed between 4-5 hours in the buds, plus say 4 charges via the case, so about 20 hours all in which is slightly less than the stated 28hours and I imagine that’s because I generally had ANC on while testing these and might have got a bit more juice out if I turned that feature off. When the battery is low, with about 30 minutes of playback left, you’ll hear a voice prompt telling you so. The small indicator light on the case will flash amber for 50% battery life remaining and red means the case needs charging.

Any negatives? The lack of voice prompt when switching between the audio modes, I want to know when I’m on ANC on or transparency mode. Also, the LDAC codec is compatible with iPhones or iOS in general, so something to consider if you’re part of the Apple ecosystem.

What about cost? I’ve been told the MSRP is £159.99 here in the UK, $169.99 in the US. At that price, they’re in good company with companies like Apple, Sony, and Sennheiser, and from the others, I’ve tested, I think these can keep up and in some instances, offer a small cost saving too. As an introductory offer, 1More is offering a discount on that price too for a short period.

Nieuw is de ANWB GO Card.
